The Clothing Corner is an initiative that is being started at Sequoia Middle School for students and their families. In response to a lack of necessary clothes and other products, Kennedy--a local Girl Scout--is working to build and implement a closet in which free items can be provided to students and their families. The Closet will be a place for students to access free clothes, shoes, accessories, and hygiene products. It will also be home to a washing machine and dryer, which can be used by local families to do laundry.

Clothes play a vital role in how we tell the world who we are, but access to clothes and certain products are also keys to confidence and happiness. This becomes even more true in school. Every person deserves access to clothes they like and feel comfortable in. The mission of The Clothing Corner is to provide that confidence to students. It strives to give students the ability to study without worrying about what they look or smell like. This is vital. It is important. It is the mission of The Clothing Corner.

The Clothing Corner is a Girl Scout Gold Award Project by Kennedy of Troop 3674.

The Clothing Closet will become fully operational in April 2022, and starts collecting donations in December 2021. Following the complete implementation of the Closet, Sequoia Middle School plans to continue collecting donations. Updates regarding clothing and product drives can be found here.
